Building A Shower Pan On Concrete Slab

Building a shower pan on concrete slab. It should rest directly on the concrete slab. Just don t let the concrete slab trick you into thinking that you don t need to waterproof the shower pan because you do. For this example we ll use a drain that is in the center of the shower pan.
There are many construction steps involved in the build but here i will discuss one of the earliest steps building the shower pan. We first need to frame in the shower pan with 2x10 lumber around the bottom of the floor and regular 2x4 studs up the walls.
