Height For Shower Controls
Shower controls should be placed at a height 40 50 102 127 cm above the shower floor and out of direct line of the water path to avoid being caught in extremely cold or hot water when operating.

I find if you have a shower valve fitted over the bath then 1300mm off the floor is a good height. Looking up local building codes is a great starting point if you want to install your shower valve at the right height. Take into consideration whether the controls work the tub and shower since you ll want to mount them lower to accommodate tub users.
The architect is given a 10 inch leeway to place the controls. Install faucets at the same height as the valve equidistant from the valve. Showerheads should ideally be high enough for users to stand comfortably underneath but not so high that the water hits the wall in front of you.
If valve is over a shower tray in a cubicle then around 1m from top of shower tray. The average height is 200cm but this should generally be about one foot. The maximum height above the floor is 48 inches.
A height of 28 inches or 2 feet 4 inches is standard for valves in bathtub shower units.
