How to take a shower with a new tattoo. Wash it very gently avoiding any scrubbing. Tattoo artists claim that one should not shower or wash that area for up to a day after the tattoo is done. Unless you use some fancy sce.

When you get to the tattooed area use your hand and gently wash the tattooed area. Wash the tattoo and the area around the tattoo in the shower with a mild antibacterial soap and warm water. Careful not to scrub it.

It is best to wait 24 hours before showering after receiving a tattoo. Getting your tattoo wet is ok but soaking it is not. Avoid swimming whether in a pool lake or the ocean and submerging your tattoo in a bath or hot tub for two to three weeks though.
